College & University Partnerships
Jamaica as a Global Classroom™
Connecting higher education, educational leadership, educators, and communities through mission-aligned partnerships that strengthen reading literacy and STEM education for students in Grades 1–3.
Learning Beyond Campus
Through Caribbean With Purpose, colleges and universities can explore Jamaica as a global classroom—where academic learning intersects with educational engagement, professional exchange, cultural understanding, reflection, and responsible global learning.
The objective is not simply to bring students or faculty to Jamaica. It is to connect international experience with academic purpose, local expertise, reading literacy, STEM education, and sustainable educational impact.
Partnership Built Around Local Leadership
Jamaica is the inaugural focus of Caribbean With Purpose's higher-education partnership model.
In partnership with Jamaica's Ministry of Education, CWP works with schools, educators, educational leadership, and higher-education partners to connect international learning with local educational priorities and our reading literacy and STEM mission.

Reading Literacy + STEM
Four Strategic Partnership Pillars
01
Connect future educators with international experiential learning, classroom observation, educational engagement, cultural learning, and reflection.
02
Create opportunities for faculty, specialists, Jamaican educators, and educational leaders to learn with one another around reading literacy and STEM.
03
Connect academic expertise and appropriately prepared participants with Read Around the Isle™, Book Cove™, and approved literacy/STEM initiatives.
04
Use appropriately structured academic expertise to help understand, evaluate, strengthen, and responsibly grow CWP's educational impact.
Mission alignment comes first.
We do not expand the mission to accommodate a partnership. We seek partners who can help strengthen the mission.
From Academic Expertise to Educational Impact
Higher-education partnerships can bring different disciplines and perspectives to CWP's established educational ecosystem.
Through Read Around the Isle™, appropriately prepared participants may engage with literacy and STEM learning experiences.
Discover Read Around the Isle™Through Book Cove™, institutional expertise can support sustainable learning environments, educational resources, appropriate technology, educator learning, and evaluation.
Discover Book Cove™Professional-development collaboration can also connect faculty and specialists with Jamaican educators around locally identified literacy and STEM priorities.
Knowledge flows in both directions.
Responsible Global Learning
Jamaican educators bring professional knowledge, classroom experience, curriculum expertise, cultural understanding, and deep knowledge of their students and communities.
Visiting students and faculty enter as learners and collaborators—not outside experts.
Cultural learning is part of that responsibility. Jamaica is not simply where the program happens; its history, people, culture, community, and educational context are part of what participants are learning.
Flexible in Format. Intentional in Purpose.
Program structure can be developed around institutional objectives, academic calendars, faculty availability, learning outcomes, group size, travel parameters, partner-school capacity, and locally identified educational priorities.
The duration may vary.
The academic model may vary.
The mission does not.
Begin an Institutional Conversation
Caribbean With Purpose welcomes conversations with colleges and universities, schools and colleges of education, teacher-preparation and literacy/STEM programs, faculty, researchers, and global education, study abroad, service-learning, and experiential-learning offices.
What should participants understand, experience, strengthen, question, or apply?
How can that objective responsibly strengthen reading literacy or STEM education for the students CWP serves?
